Open 7 am to dusk each day, the Lake Anna State Park in Spotsylvania is a wonderful day-trip or weekend getaway from Northern Virginia. As one of Virginia’s most popular lakes, it also allows for pond fishing, a boat launch, a bathhouse and concessions complex, as well as accessibility to children and the disabled. At the Visitor Center you can learn about the area’s gold mining history and park’s natural features.

- Dine at lakeshore picnicking spots
- Lounge on the sandy beach and go swimming

Looking to stay overnight? Cabins, lodges, campsites, yurts, and camping cabins are available to rent. If you enjoy water recreation, you need to bring your own as the park does not offer boat or equipment rentals.
