Spring is in the air and is chock full of fun and interesting activities to fill your Spring Calendar whether you are looking  to attend a music festival, join an easter egg hunt, take a garden tour or peruse a farmers market.  It’s a great time to get outside!
Art and Music Festivals

Arlington Festival of the Arts
This wonderful outdoor art festival is located in the Clarendon neighborhood of Arlington. The festival hosts original works from artisans in the art of sculpture, pottery, jewelry, photography, mixed-media, and painting available.

Tephra ICA Festival 
This popular art festival returns this spring with over 200 artists presenting original works. Formerly known as Northern Virginia Fine Arts Festival, it is located at the Reston Town Center.  The Festival is comprised of one-on-one experiences and performances. This year Trisha Brown Dance Company will perform a site-specific performance with audience engagement and there will be a Family Art Park with a variety of activities.

Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival
This classic hometown festival spans 10 days and is brim full with activities. Participants can enjoy midway carnival rides, a parade, a car show, a wine festival with live entertainment, golf and tennis tournaments, and the coronation of the Queen Shenandoah. If you want to be active there is a 10K road race, a kids fun run and square dancing just to name a few.

Purcellville Music and Arts Festival
A local music festival with live music and dance performances across three stages as well as an art show.  There will also be several artisan and vendors.

Garden Tours

Historic Garden Week in Virginia
Each year during garden week garden enthusiasts can tour some of the most beautiful gardens in the area and get inspiration for their own gardens. The tours located in northern Virginia are listed below. Tickets are on sale now and tend to sell out.  Avid gardeners can also join additional tours throughout Virginia. Leesburg Flower and Garden Festival
The Flower and Garden Festival hosts over is held on the streets of historic Leesburg.  It hosts 125 plant sellers, landscapers and other vendors as well as live music, entertainment, a beer garden, food and activities for kids on the town green.

Vienna’s Walk On The Hill
This annual event in its 49th year offers garden lovers self-guided tours through participating yards and gardens in Vienna’s historic Windover Heights neighborhood.  A wonderful way to spend an afternoon with live entertainment and refreshments.

Festival of Spring
For three weeks each Spring, Burnside Farms holds their Festival of Spring. It is a pick your own extravaganza of tulips (over 200 varieties) and daisies (more than 30 varieties).

Easter Egg Hunts

Bull Run Easter Egg Hunt
Join the fun at Bull Run Regional Park. Children ages 2 to 11 years old are invited to celebrate spring with games, crafts, and photos with the Easter Bunny (bring your own camera!), culminating with an Easter egg hunt.  Games and activities are from 10am-12pm and the egg hunt starts promptly at noon.

Meadowlark Gardens Easter Egg Hunts in the Gardens
Participants will use their Easter Egg Fun Find Sheets to keep track of which eggs they have found along the Bunny Trail at Meadowlark Gardens and then turn them in for goodie bags full of Easter Eggs.

Potomac Overlook Park Egg Hunt
Children will get a hidden egg hunting sheet so they can track down wooden eggs hidden in the park.  Then they cab turn the wooden eggs in for a yummy goodie bag.

Annual Easter Egg Hunt at Temple Hall Farm
Children 2-11 can hunt for Easter eggs, do crafts and take a picture with the easter bunny (bring your own camera)

Easter Egg Hunt at Lee-Fendall House
A fun afternoon of egg hunting for toy filled eggs in the garden.  Children can also participate in games and crafts and visit with the Easter Bunny

21st Annual Easter Egg Hunts at Leesburg Animal Park
The park will provide hunting bags for all registered egg hunters.  Hunts are schedule according to age.  After the hunt stay for a live music performance by Bach to Rock 12pm – 3pm

EGG-STREME Teen Night Egg Hunt 2022
Enjoy an evening searching for eggs and prizes in the dark! Please bring a flashlight and a bag/basket so you can find and collect eggs. Visit with the Easter Bunny beginning at 7pm and test your agility on the obstacle course.
