Alexandria St Patrick’s Day Parade
March 1 st
In it’s 42nd year, the Alexandria St. Patrick’s Day is one of the longest running in our area. Find a spot on the parade route and see bagpipe bands, Irish dancers, the Notre Dame Alumni band just to name a few of the 2000 participants.

Virginia National Ballet | Snow White@ Capital One Hall
March 1st
This whimsical ballet follows the Disney movie of Snow White and features many recognizable tunes from the movie as well.  This delightful production is perfect for families as well as ballet fans!

[Health] Reston 10 Miler @ South Lakes High School
March 3rd
A great goal race to keep you training during the winter months or the perfect stepping stone race in preparation for spring marathons/half marathons.

[Restaurants] Fairfax City Restaurant Week
 Feb 24 – March 2nd
A great chance to try a variety of different restaurants in Fairfax City participating in Restaurant Week.  Restaurants will be offering prefixed menus for lunch ($20) and Dinner($35)

[Festival] Capital Irish Film Festival @AFI Silver Institute
Feb 27 – March 2nd
Solas Nua’s annual Capital Irish Film Festival in Washington, D.C. presents one of the largest programs of Irish cinema in North America, showcasing the latest Irish dramatic and documentary features, shorts, art films, and animation releases by Irish and Ireland-based filmmakers.

The Manassas St Patrick’s Day parade will be held March 8th with a parade route along Center Street in Old Town Manassas.

[Festival] Capital Art and Craft Festival @ Dulles Expo Center
March 21-23
The Capital Art and Craft Festival is back.  The festival will feature works of art and fine crafts presented by more than 300 juried artists. Artists will offer a wide variety of handmade art in several mediums including clothing/textiles/fiber, glass, jewelry, leather, metal, mixed media, painting and prints, photography, pottery/clay, printmaking and wood.
