
A lot has been happening at Kincora. Kincora is an 8 million square foot mixed-use development located between Sterling and Ashburn in Loudoun County. The development plan, which began development in 2005, includes 2400 residential units, and highlighting the inclusion of two world class museums – The National Museum of Intelligence and Special Operations and The Northern Virginia Science Center as well as a large entertainment facility called Pinstack.
Pinstack opened to the public on June 14, 2026. It is a 56,000-square-foot entertainment venue that offers state-of-the-art bowling lanes, a high ropes course, rock climbing wall, laser tag, bumper cars, and arcade and video games. The venue also has private event space to host a private party. There is a full service restaurant and bar. THe venue opened on July 14th, More information can be found at the website.
The Northern Virginia Science Center is slated to open in 2027. It is a 70,000 square foot structure that has access to 200 adjoining acres of stream valley parkland and nature trails. The Center will replace The Children’s Science Center currently open at the Fair Oaks Mall. The $100 million project benefitted from a large-scale fundraising campaign with public and private support. Construction for the new center is underway and is expected to be completed in 2026 with an anticipated opening date in 2027. It will house a world-class interactive hands-on science museum for children with a focus on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) based exhibits.
