Herndon Rocks
Grab your chairs, blankets and picnic and come out to Herndon Rocks. A great event to bring the family to enjoy live music at the Herndon Town Green. Food is available to purchase. Bands start at 6:30 PM

Occoquan RiverFest and Craft Show
Kick off summer with this annual craft show and Riverfest. Over 100 artisans will be selling their wares. Attendees can enjoy live music and food at River Mill Park. Families can take park in Conservation Alley where they can participate in arts and crafts. Join the Annual Duck Splash – a yellow rubber duckie race and fundraiser. Lots to see and do at the festival.

Sesame Street Live – Elmo’s Got The Moves
Come sing, dance and move with Elmo at one of two live performances with Elmo and your favorite Sesame Street characters.

Historic Manassas Railway Festival
Time to celebrate everything trains. Explore model trains and fun train memorabilia and a wide variety of food vendors and entertainment. Don’t miss the opportunity to take a scenic train ride on the Virginia Railway Express for a quick ride to Clifton and back. For the train rides: The 501st Regiment of Troopers will be present on the 10am and 11am trains. The Mirabel and Belle Princesses will be on the 12pm and 1pm trains. There will also be fun for the family at the Festival Fun Zone.

Reston Concerts on the Town
Enjoy an evening of music at Reston Town Center. Bring a chair, snacks, the kids and your furry friend and enjoy live music at the Pavilion. You can sit and stroll with your beverage of choice purchased from one of the restaurants and bring it to the concert.

Columbia Pike Blues Festival
Columbia Pike hosts the largest Blues Festival in the DC metropolitan area. This free outdoor music event sees thousands of residents and visitors come together each year in South Arlington. From live blues, soul, funk and R&Bs music, to family-friendly activities, to craft beer and wine and to local vendors.

Things To Do with Dad on Father’s Day Weekend
51st Annual Sully Antique Car Show
This local car show returns this month after a two-year hiatus. The show hosts approximately 350 classic and antique cars, as well as a Car Corral, a take-apart Model T Ford, and a flea market. There will also be live music, a car parade and food from local vendors.

Innovations in Flight Family Day and Outdoor Aviation Display
Grab Dad and head out to the Udvar-Hazyy Center for this annual outdoor event where you can explore more than 50 aircraft design innovations of the past century. Pilots will be available to answer questions about their aircraft. The theme for this year’s show is Speed.

Father’s Day Fish-A-Rama
The Father’s Day Fish-a-Rama is another great option for Dads who love fishing. Treat Dad to a fun-filled weekend with catch-and-release fishing. Compete in the Fish-a-Rama contest – fishing for bass and bluegill in stocked ponds. Bring your own pole and gear to fish (no drag hooks). They will have worms for sale with your reservation. Then enjoy live music on the Henway Patio.

Father’s Day Golf Tournament – Parent Child Family Challenge
Spend an early Father’s Day with Dad playing golf in this fun trunament. Teams of two players compete in an 18-hole best-ball scramble format in three flights: father/junior 7-12; father/junior 13-17; father/adult partner. Prizes for first place teams in all three flights and closest to the pins.
