Old Town Alexandria is known for sophisticated shopping, and one of the area’s newest boutiques, is a hidden gem, literally.
By Lynn Norusis
Tucked in an alley off King Street is Manse, a housewares and lifestyle boutique owned by husbands Andrew Coon and Adam Howley.
Coon’s eye for exquisite design at any price makes shopping at this store one that hits all of the senses.
He has curated a store that carries fresh flowers, glassware, linens, provisions, bar and serveware, ornate candles, cookware and more. There is even a spot for the sassy pet.
The store opened in September 2021 and has been manned by Coon himself each day. Browsing through the store, the curator himself is there to talk you through his choices and the backstory behind each item and why he chose it.
There is something for everyone, at every age, at every price. Items run from $20 and up.
It is the perfect store for shopping for a gift or for oneself that will give any room an extra touch of local and international artisanal flare.
