Adding a wow factor to a room can be done with an accent wall, and it doesn’t have to be overly dramatic. Many people do this with having a coordinating color for one wall in a room, but in this video we went with texture to add some drama to an office wall.

Supplies
- 1×2 wood boards (we used poplar)
- Air-pressure nail gun OR hammer and nails
- Liquid nails / construction adhesive
- Level
- paint (we used Benjamin Moore Vintage Vogue)
Steps
- Plan out the wall for ideal spacing and height of boards. (We chose spacing of 6 inches between boards with the bottom boards being 5 feet in length and the top boards being 3.5 feet in length.)
- Cut boards to size. Also cut a spacer board for easy spacing when applying to the wall. (6-inch spacer)
- Apply small amount of construction adhesive to board, top middle and bottom.
- Using level and spacer, place board on wall and nail it in.
- Paint boards.
