Patina is a unique home decor and garden shop in Old Town Alexandria. Opened in 2013 by owners Amanda Mertins and Kimberly Weiler, the shop offers home goods, furniture, unique gifts as well as things for every garden.
The vibe of the store combines vintage and new items and as you walk through the shop it feels like home. There are rooms full of home goods and gift ideas whether you are shopping for your home or for a special gift. If you are looking for furniture, Amanda and Kimberly have a wonderful partnership with Wesley Hall. Once you select your piece there is a fabric room in which you can sit in and sort through hundreds of fabrics.
Amanda and Kimberly also offer in-home design services. “We have client’s that come into the shop and say, I want my home to look like this” referring to the vibe in the store. Their in-home design service starts with a whole house visit which allows them to get a feel for a client’s taste. “A lot of the time a client may have a beautiful piece upstairs in a corner in a guest bedroom and we will bring that down and use it in their design.” Contact the store if you are interested in home design services.
