A lot of decisions are made by residents and homeowners based on school districts, and now is the time to know what the future will look like.
Fairfax County Public Schools is beginning a comprehensive review of school boundaries for the first time in almost four decades and there are numerous public input sessions scheduled throughout November and December. The review will assess the boundaries focusing on student population growth, changes in school capacity, student health and wellness, and evolving community needs.

On September 12, 2024, the School Board awarded a contract to Thru Consulting to manage the school boundary review for FCPS. This work will be conducted over a 16-month period, ending January 31, 2026.
