We are talking today about the best time to go on the market as a seller to get the highest possible sales price. Looking back at the data dating to December of 2014, year-over-year as long as your property closes between March and May, that is when you are going to get on average the highest possible sales price. What is really interesting about our current market situation, which is a shortage of inventory, is that the median sales price throughout Fairfax County has always achieved no less than 98% of the asking price. The only exception to that is back in January of 2015 where properties received 97.7% of their asking prices.
