What evidence does a buyer look for regarding maintenance?

When a buyer visits a home, they are usually in the home for around 30 minutes.  During this time, a buyer looks for the following:
  • A clean, well kept exterior
  • The major systems, like your HVAC and Hot water system for age and sizes
  • Recent updates to appliances and fixtures is also important
  • Visible signs of significant damage or wear and tear on your home
  • A well maintained roof and the age of the roof is important to them
  • Basically, they want a home that has been well card for and won’t require large repairs immediately.
